“If I win this tournament I don't know what I'm going to do but I know I won't have to worry about anything for a long time”, stated John Racener thinking about the final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event he’s going to play on November 6th. The 25-year-old from Florida, has been playing poker from the age of 16, when he asked his mother to put $50 into an online poker site for him. She agreed and about two years later Racener had run that deposit up to over $30,000. Despite his keen interest in poker, Racener took the time to go to college and graduated with an associate of arts degree from Florida Southern. It didn't take long before Racener was back on the online poker tables, however.

Next November John Dolan will be among the nine players who will battle at the final table of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event. With 46,250,000 the 24-year-old Floridian will be second in chips only to French-Canadian Jonathan Duhamel whom has 65 million. Despite being at the final table, Dolan is humble about his accomplishments in poker: “I think there are a lot of kids just like me”, he said. Born and raised in Florida, Dolan started by playing $5 and $10 home games in college and then transitioned into online poker. He also worked as a dealer and the first WSOP event he ever cashed in was the 2007 Casino Employee's event. Dolan eventually learned to play better and met a few key people that helped him work on his game. After a couple big wins when he was 20, Dolan was able to start a bankroll.

Professional No-Limit Hold'em vol. 1 is a book written by Ed Miller (it’s his second foray into poker) with Matt Flynn e Sunny Mehta which attempts to present a broad approach to the game. The book’s core is found in the development and application of two key concepts that the authors believe offer the key to solving most no limit problems: REM (Range, Equity and Maximize) and SPR (Stack to Pot Ratios). You’ll find discussion on other No-Limit Hold'em concepts sprinkled throughout the book, especially at the start, but these two concepts receive the majority of the author’s attention.

The 37-year-old Soi Nguyen is the only amateur of the 2010 World Series of Poker November Nine. Now that he climbed to the Final Table of the WSOP he’ll have to outlast poker pros like Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi and John Racener if he hopes to win the $8.9 million first place prize. “This was my first WSOP and I didn't expect to get this far” he said. "I just wanted to come for the experience. It's been one hell of a ride”. Nguyen, who lives in Santa Ana, California, and works for a medical supplies distribution company, has an extremely limited poker experience compared to the rest of the final table: the 2010 WSOP Main Event was only the fourth live Hold'em tournament he'd ever played.
